Donald G. Bludworth was born January 13, 1924 in Florala, Alabama. He enlisted in the U.S. Army during 1943. He continued on to serve a 36 year career, serving in WWII, Korean, and Vietnam conflicts. He was awarded the Silver Star and Bronze Star for heroism. He received a battlefield commission during the Korean conflict which culminated in his career rank of colonel. He is survived by three children, 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral services and burial will be conducted at Arlington National Cemetery.
