DETAILS
On August 15, 1969, the Recon Platoon conducted operations southeast of Cu Chi Base Camp in the area of XT 672122. Company C conducted a sweep south of the junction of Highways 1 and 7A in the area of XT 561142. At 1152 hours, Company B requested a Dust-off 2 kilometers northwest of Thai My at XT 518168. Two Bobcats from the company had been wounded and one was killed when a booby trapped hand grenade was tripped and detonated.
