DETAILS
On November 07, 1968, Company B was conducting a clear and secure operation on Highway 14. An AT mine was discovered and destroyed at XT 517419. Just north of the bridge at XT 524408, an APC from the company detonated an AT mine at 1042 hours. Two Bobcats from Company B were killed and three others were wounded. One of the Bobcats was trapped under the APC, which was destroyed. Companies A and C conducted a sweep of the Ben Cui. A small ammunition cache was located and destroyed. At 1540 hours, Company B got into a brief firefight at the bridge on Highway 14 at XT 524408. Fire was returned with unknown results. Two Bobcats were wounded by shrapnel from an RPG round.
