ROBERT JOSEPH DUPELL JR.

I served with Bob Dupell.  We were in the same squad  (track) together '69/'70.  I remember him as a great guy and a pleasure to serve with. We lost him on an AP one night and I can remember that the whole platoon was broken-up when the CO told us of his fate that morning. Their wasn't a dry eye in the bunch. Our medic tried everything possible under heavy fire to save him. The dust-off was rapid but he just didn't make it.   I think I took this photo about a week before he died.
